A 40-year-old man is wanted for attempted murder after beating a 28-year-old with a gun in New Orleans East Tuesday (Aug. 9), police said. Joreue Maldonado went to the victim's job in the 4600 block of Downman Road in the Pines Village area just before noon, police said. Maldonado first attempted to shoot the man, but his gun jammed, police said. So he beat the 28-year-old man with the weapon, according to the NOPD. No more information is currently available. ......
